Replacement questions, answered

How much does a replacement car key cost in Brisbane?

It depends on the make, model and the type of key. A basic transponder key is cheaper than a push button smart key, and a spare is cheaper than all keys lost because a spare can often be copied from an existing key. Once you tell us your exact vehicle we give you the price on the call.

Can you replace the key if I have none left at all?

In many cases yes. With all keys lost we read the vehicle’s system and program a brand new key on site. Some late model smart keys need extra steps or dealer involvement, so we confirm your exact make, model and year before we come out.

How long does a replacement take?

A straightforward cut and program is usually 20 to 45 minutes. All keys lost and some smart key systems take longer because the system has to be read first. We give you a realistic time on the call.
